MOPS: Mother's Of Preschoolers. Mops is a group of mothers with children ranging from 0-5. We meet every month for connection, learning and just a nice break. The purpose of MOPS is to nurture every mother of preschoolers by meeting her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. It is our goal and privilege to attempt to fulfill this purpose. Please know that all moms ARE IMPORTANT & TREASURED and are the reason the MOPS exists. Join us each month as we celebrate the gift of motherhood!

A Note From our Director: Hi! My name is Karmen Pyron, and I am the Coordinator of the Hermiston MOPS Group. I am the very blessed mother of a 5 year old, 3 year old, 2 year old, and 9 month old. Married for 7+ years to the most supportive husband, and wonderful daddy I could have ever dreamed of. I am a stay at home mom, and I am the best kind of busy! I enjoy: Cooking and finding creative ways to incorporate healthy whole foods into my families meals. Entertaining- I love to host showers, girl's nights, and dinner parties. I am proud of the home that we have made, and I love to share the love that fills it with others. Being a wife to a wonderful husband- I like to find new ways to show Daniel how much I appreciate him and how much I treasure the love and commitment we share. Being a mommy- Some of the most precious moments in my life, are shared with my sweet little ones. They give such a brisk and fresh perspective on life and what is really important here on earth. Encouraging other women- I like to share the love of Christ with other moms, and women and remind them of how precious they are to God. I enjoy encouraging them to be the best mommy, wife, and woman that they were created to be.
We have a new theme-Adventures In Mothering. Come join us
as we ride the exciting and often crazy roller coaster of life as mothers of
preschoolers. We can laugh, cry, learn, and have fun together in this great
adventure!
I hope that each of you will find that this MOPS group is a place where all
Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers can come and feel welcome and comfortable. We (the
steering team) are doing our best to create a fun, relaxed, and nurturing
environment for the moms in our community. A place to come and be refreshed and
inspired to be the best mom you can be. I love the MOPS motto -“Better Moms Make
A Better World”. It has been, and is my pleasure to be part of such a great
group of women. My hope for you this year is that you will develop friendships
that will accompany and support you in the ups and downs of motherhood. I also
want to see you have the opportunity to learn from other moms who are in your
shoes, and be able to share your unique experiences in order to enrich the other
moms‘ parenting journey.
Let’s ride this thing together, and have as much fun along the way as possible!
Being Part of Mops:
Attending MOPS Meetings:
As a MOPS attendee, we encourage you to attend as many meetings as you like, and
bring your friends if they wish.
There is a prayer journal on the sign-in table that is available for you to
write (anonymously if you wish) any praises or concerns. The steering team will
refer to the entries at the monthly steering meetings during the prayer time.
You may give feedback to the steering team at any time, by filling out one of
the feedback/comment sheets in the back of your folder, and leaving it in the
donation basket on the sign-in table.
There is a one time registration fee of $23.95* for moms, and $28.95* for mentor
moms to become a member of MOPS International for the 2008-2009 year.
Benefits page)
There is also a $5* suggested monthly donation, that goes to help offset some of
the costs associated with the function of our group. The donation basket will be
on the sign-in table each month, and is done on the honor system, so we will not
check to make sure you pay. We value each of our moms, and would encourage you
to come even if you cannot pay the monthly donation.
Childcare:
Children under the age of 12 months are welcome in the meeting room, if
breastfeeding.
We provide childcare for children ages 5 and under, so feel free to bring the
little ones along.
Our childcare slots are limited to the maximum occupancy of our nurseries. We
will fill the slots on a first come first serve basis, and the moms who have a
MOPS International Membership, will receive the first childcare slots available.
